GPYP is, to me, a labor of love. I am trying to give back to others as was given to me. Yes, a lot of my knowledge is from education that I received and my work as a therapist, but a lot is simple life experience. People always ask me what they can do to give back to GPYP, I have always just asked that you pass it on when you feel better. That’s all I really ask. There are expenses and I do try to give scholarships but I have never thought of asking my readers for donations.
Yesterday I was having a conversation with a man in email and he asked me if he could send something to the program and I said it was not necessary. He countered by saying it was uncomfortable for him to be getting so much help on the blog and in email for nothing. He felt I was not honoring him by not allowing him to contribute when a real time therapist or group therapy would certainly come with a price tag. I had not considered that before…that I wasn’t honoring his request to give something back to GPYP…and for that, I apologize if that has been the case for anyone else. So I have reconsidered these requests. I’ve set up a PayPal donation button. You can donate to the scholarship fund, to general GPYP expenses or just leave it blank. You can donate in someone’s name or memory. All donors will receive an acknowledgement and thank you in the book and on the website unless you request anonymity.
I put most of the proceeds from GPYP into scholarships to the seminars for victims of domestic abuse, but I do have GPYP bills, and I’d like to upgrade the quality of the recording materials for the MP3s and record portions of the seminars for people who can’t attend. So there are actual expenses, wish list expenses, and more scholarships I’d like to give.
If you want to add to the scholarship till or help pay for GPYP expenses, actual or to make the materials better here’s a few suggestions:
1) All audio purchase proceeds go to seminar scholarships. If you buy an audio set, the proceeds are set aside for scholarhips and to keep down the cost of the seminars.
2) If you buy a book after clicking on the links to the authors on the right side of the blog, this helps donate to the GPYP Amazon Associates account. So you don’t have to spend any money, just buy your books through those links.
3) If you book GPYP into a paid speaking engagement, the referral receives 10 percent (you) and the rest of the fee goes to GPYP.
4) If none of this works, and you want to donate outright, here is a link to donate:

Once again, I thank you all for being here and for allowing me to do what I do.
I gave 4 full and 2 partial scholarships to the last seminar. One scholarship was donated by someone who had signed up and couldn’t go. One scholarship was donated by a private coaching client who wants to help others. The rest came from donations here, the Amazon associates referral fees and the GPYP audio materials. I thank you all for your continued support.

I think GPYP readers and students should write to mags and radio stations and tv stations and newspapers and tell them about you and the impact your work has had on us.
I read it every day in the comments. People thank you for your work and I think it’s time that the media was alerted ! (lol but not really!).
I think THAT is what they should be doing and I will do just that! I leave links on iVillage all the time but I will do more than that now. I would LOVE the DVD and be able to help with the scholarships but I think that corporate America and the media would be most helpful.
